The Foster Share Shed is a non-profit organisation with charity and DGR status. It was founded in 2018 by a local Foster Carer and is now directed by four carers. The Foster Share Shed is a place where Foster Carers, Grandparent, Relative Carers and children in care can get together with like-minded people, to discuss their care experiences and knowledge. It provides a safe and supportive environment and a platform to which children in care can meet and come together with other children in care. The Foster Share Shed is a resource center receiving donations from the general public, items include children's clothes, books, toys, games, highchairs, cots, prams, school items and plenty more. These items are then provided to carers and children in care. We rely solely on public donations, fundraising and community grants in order to operate.
