CADCAI is a not for profit Chinese community arts and heritage organisation run by a volunteer management committee. It is custodian of a nationally significant collection of Cairns Chinese temple artefacts dating from 1886; offers traditional Chinese lion and dragon performance programs: Chinese language classes for children; and organizes the annual Cairns Chinese New Year Festival program. Whist many volunteers are often required for this one-off event, CADCAI seeks long term permanent volunteers to assist with museum collection management, conservation, administration and community activities and projects
