VOCAL has been providing since 1988 emotional support, court support, practical assistance, mediation and counseling and advocacy to victims of crime, and also to persons who are relatives of the offenders who suffer as a result of the crime, irrespective of where the crime occurred or how long ago. VOCAL will also help out if an individual is suffering grief and loss and cannot find anyone else to talk to. Services are provided in the A.C.T. and region at our office and also on various social media online. A range of volunteer skills are required by volunteers to assist office operation, provision of services and the upkeep of the building and environment we work in. These days our volunteers are trained on the job instead of in a classroom.
