The Office of the Public Advocate is an independent statutory body established by the Victorian State Government. It works to protect and promote the interests, rights and dignity of people with a disability* Provides a number of services, including advocacy and guardianship and an advice service for enquiries about matters such as powers of attorney, guardianship, and consent to medical and dental treatment. It advocates for broader improvements to the lives of people with a disability through its policy and research, and communications and media functions
