Office of the Public Advocate

An independent statutory body established by the Victorian State Government working to protect and promote the interests, rights and dignity of people with a disability requires community visitors in the Glen Eira area to visit accommodation facilities for people with a disability or mental illness at any time, unannounced, in order to monitor and report on the adequacy of services provided.

Volunteers 18 years and older may apply. Police Checks and Working with Children Checks required. Police Checks organised. Training and support is provided for all roles.
