Orange Sky Australia

Orange Sky is a non-profit organisation providing free mobile laundry and shower services to people experiencing homelessness. Each week, thousands of volunteers give their time to help positively connect some of the 122,494 Australians doing it tough. The focus is on creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or feel disconnected from the community. Over the past ten years, Orange Sky has completed more than 1.3 million kilograms of laundry and provided over 13,000 showers to people in need. Most importantly though, volunteers have engaged in 233,000 hours of conversations, helping to positively connect communities all across Australia. We're looking for new volunteers here in Cairns that are keen to help our friends by meeting them where they are at, and to connect with them on a personal level.
