Recovered Futures Art Exhibition
Event Assistant, 2025 Recovered Futures Art Exhibition Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) is a leading provider of mental health services throughout Queensland and nationally via telehealth. RFQ has worked within the community for 50 years – inspiring hope, empowerment and self-belief in people facing mental health challenges and social disadvantage. The Recovered Futures Art Exhibition is held annually during Queensland Mental Health Week, showcasing work from artists with lived mental health experience. The iconic exhibition is now in its 34th year, serving to spark meaningful conversations while sharing powerful stories through diverse art. In 2025 the exhibition will return to our grand marquee in King George Square, free and open to the public from Friday 3 to Wednesday 8 October. We are looking for volunteers to help make our exhibition a success, with roles including greeter, catalogue sales, payments assistant, outdoor activation and badge making. All volunteers will be provided with lunch and a volunteer pack including water bottle (there is a water fountain for them use inside city hall), hat, shirt and a snack. In your application, please provide your availability for the week (ensuring you are available for at least one full day). Shifts available: Friday 3 October: 8.30am – 6pm Saturday 4 October: 9.30am – 4pm Sunday 5 October: 9.30am – 4pm Monday 6 October: 8.30am – 5pm Tuesday 7 October: 8.30am – 5pm Wednesday 8 October: 8.30am – 5pm Requirements • Aged 18+ • In possession of a police check no less than three months old, or provide consent for RFQ to request a police check on your behalf • Comfortable on your feet for an extended period of time • Comfortable wearing Recovered Futures exhibition t-shirt and lanyard • Comfortable interacting with members of the public and working as part of a team. Commitment One off - an event Training All training provided on the day, with information provided earlier via email. No experience required. Reimbursement Lunch and a volunteer pack including water bottle, hat, shirt and a snack.
