GC and Hinterland Artisan Market

The Gold Coast & Hinterland Artisan Market (GCHAM) is a twice-yearly market /expo event held in Autumn and Spring. The market features artisan vendors from across the Gold Coast, the Hinterland region and from further afield who demonstrate their craft as well as sell their products. Each event has diversity of makers and products and aims to show visitors how products are made. The market celebrates the handmade and artisan-made trade which contributes so much to local economies and to the wellbeing of our communities. Making things with our hands is good for our mental health as is appreciating or gifting unique handmade items. As consumers, when we understand how something was made and what effort went into its creation, we value those things more highly. Meeting the maker and seeing their journey adds to that value. Curation begins with the product, its quality and uniqueness.
