Rise and Thrive Co Ltd

Rise & Thrive Co is a Queensland-based not-for-profit organisation dedicated to breaking the cycle of intergenerational trauma, domestic and family violence, and youth mental health challenges through early intervention, prevention, and recovery-focused programs. We work alongside young people, families, schools, and communities to create safe, supportive environments where individuals can heal, build resilience, and thrive. Our programs combine trauma-informed counselling, emotional wellbeing education, mentorship, and physical activity — including basketball and creative expression — to engage participants in meaningful and empowering ways. Founded by Janelle Parsons, the organisation was built from both professional expertise and lived experience, with a strong focus on helping young people feel seen, heard, and supported. Our initiatives, including Programs and outreach support, help adolescents develop confidence, emotional regulation, healthy coping strategies, and stronger connections to the community. We collaborate with schools, community organisations, sporting groups, and local leaders across the Sunshine Coast and Queensland to create lasting social change.
