Out of the Woods Rescue (OOTW) is a Melbourne-based, registered animal welfare charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming animals in need. We are a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based organisation, meaning we do not operate a traditional shelter. Instead, the animals in our care live in loving foster homes across Melbourne while they receive the veterinary care, rehabilitation and support they need before finding their forever homes.
Our work is made possible by a dedicated community of foster carers and volunteers who assist with everything from animal care and transport to administration, fundraising and adoption support. Together, we are committed to giving vulnerable animals the best possible chance of getting safely out of the woods and into loving homes.
