A Museum volunteer is required to help visitors experience the history of Townsville at the Townsville Museum. Volunteers at the Museum assist in a variety of ways from front of house reception, warmly greeting visitors to the museum through to interesting behind the scenes duties as well as guiding people through the Museum, educating and connecting visitors to Townsville history and heritage.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a keen interest in Townsville’s heritage to not only learn more but also enthusiastically connect members of the public, school and community groups, as well as out of town visitors to our rich history.
