Community Centre Gardening - WestCare Centre

The Volunteer Gardener role provides support to the WestCare team and site through the regular maintenance and care of the West Care gardens and plants.
Working with the WestCare Team you will also help to build and grow the garden areas providing a more beautified space for those who visit the site.
Gardening knowledge is not essential but would be beneficial.
Requirements:
- Be respectful and courteous at all times to all visitors, volunteers and employees of Baptist Care.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Empathy with people who experience hardship, loss, disadvantage and disconnection from the community.
- Sound time management skills
- Ability to work well as an individual and in a team environment
- Attention to detail

- A friendly, approachable and confident manner
- A flexible and committed approach to the job.
- Demonstrated understanding of the confidentially necessary to this role.
Specific Requirements:
- Attendance at Induction and Training that is relevant to the role.
- A valid DCSI Child-Related Employment Screening Check (less than 3 years old)*
- A valid National Police Check (less than 12 months old)*
- A valid Child Safe Environments Training certificate (less than 3 years old) Baptist Care will assist approved applicants to obtain these checks/certificates free of charge.
