Are you a big kid at heart, or have an interest in children's education and development? Consider volunteering as a Toy Library Assistant? Our Wednesday morning session needs more volunteer help!
Cockburn Toy Library is looking for regular volunteers who can assist families with returning, checking over and loaning toys, as well as some minor administration and maintenance tasks. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to weekly or fortnightly shifts during our opening hours, especially Wednesdays.
Friendly, organised, reliable volunteers with basic computer skills are idea for this role. You will be trained & supervised, and work alongside other volunteers. Regular volunteers will need a Working with Children Check (WWC); we will help you organise this if you don't have a current WWC card.
Key Tasks:
- Assisting with set up and pack away for our open sessions.
- Processing of returns and loans for member families
- Counting and checking returned toys
- Returning toys to their storage shelves
- Minor repairs, labelling and cleaning of toys
Engagement in the local community Administration and Office skills Customer service skills Exposure to a wide variety of toys and people!
