Cadet Firefighter
Advertised by Volunteer South West IncorporatedOur Cadet Firefighter program gives 12 to 16 year olds opportunities to build valuable life skills in a safe and supportive environment.
What you'll be doing
- Attending regular training sessions held fortnightly on Wednesday evenings from 5:45pm to 8:00pm
- Taking part in practical firefighting and emergency services training activities
- Learning basic bushfire awareness, fireground safety, and brigade operations
- Developing teamwork, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Participating in drills, exercises, and community engagement activities
- Building confidence through challenges that encourage initiative and resilience
