We have positions available for people who are interested in becoming a Volunteer Firefighter. There is no cost for the volunteer other than some of your time. Training is provided for all new Volunteers. If you are looking for something different to do, give back to your community, learn some new skills or you have existing skills you want to share, then this just might be for you! This is an incredible experience and you will love the satisfaction of keeping your community safe.
Our Cadet Program runs from April to October each year. It is open to kids between the age of 12 - 16. Cadets are trained in various facets of Firefighting and other skills. Teamwork and Communication are a big part of this program and we have had many of our Cadets stay on after turning 16 to become Active Volunteer Firefighters. Cadets may also have the opportunity to go on Camps run by the Brigade, DFES also give Cadets opportunities to go on camps.
We are looking for support members who may be interested in helping out with administration, fundraising, maintenance of vehicles, equipment and the surrounds of the fire station, cadets program or arranging social activities. You dont need to do all of this, get involved with what interests you.
