The role provides support to the Cooinda Kitchen and Café and is responsible for general customer service, service of coffee and small food items. The role may include other associated duties such as set up, cleaning and support in baking and cooking if required.

Duties include:

• Set up and clean down equipment and kitchen area
• Provide general customer service
• Assist in service of coffee, tea and food items to customers
• Wash up crockery/dishes and stack/empty the dishwasher
• Operation of kitchen appliances (e.g deep fryer, sandwich press, microwave etc.)
• Take delivery of orders and store appropriately
• Some manual handling is required (lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching)
• Work cooperatively with staff, other volunteers
• Follow organisational Work Health & Safety requirements
• Maintain food safety records
• Be aware of any risks and the control measures in place for the role
• Report any accidents in the workplace to key contacts and relevant staff
• Foster an inclusive environment
