Family Drug Support operates a 24/7 Support Line for families and friends affected by someone’s alcohol or other drug use. Volunteers with good listening skills required for telephone support to take calls on National helpline. Shifts will be allocated to volunteers in advance to suit availability.

We are seeking mature volunteers who are able to commit to a shift on our support line every 2 to 3 weeks for a minimum of 12 months.

You do not need to have extensive knowledge of drug and alcohol issues, nor do you need to be a counsellor. We listen, we empathise and we give people time.

We have a 2 day training course in Sydney on the 14th & 15th of September in Camperdown.
