The HammondCare Volunteer Program is a wonderful way to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in Daw Park.

From sport 🏀 to art 🎨, pets 🐾 to gardening 🌿, walking 🚶‍♀️ to yoga 🧘‍♂️, baking 🧁 to craft ✂️, movies 🎬 to music 🎶, coffee ☕ to crosswords ✏️… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.

As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you’ll offer companionship and meaningful social interaction to older residents, spending time one‑on‑one or in small groups.

Your presence can brighten someone’s day in the most heartfelt way.

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
