Beep Beep, Toot Toot! HammondCare Daw Park is looking for a Mini-bus Volunteer Driver for our aged care Residents to enjoy an outing in the local area. You will be accompanied by care staff who will look after the resident’s care needs.

We are looking for a reliable person to assist us one to two days per week to keeping our Residential Care Home looking its best. Duties may include tidy up of our gardens, pruning, site rubbish pickup, minor repair or maintenance, changing light globes, BBQ checks, pressure washing paths, re-arranging storerooms, painting and lubricating door locks. Beauty parlour and pamper session at Daw Park! As a Hand Massage and/or Nail Care Volunteer, you will help to provide provide companionship and meaningful engagement for older people in a residential care home. Spend time with residents talking and listening to their stories, while pampering them with a gentle hand massage and simple nail care (such as filing or nail polish).

We are seeking a Sewing Volunteer who can assist with minor clothing repairs of resident’s clothing, including replacing buttons, adjusting hems and minor mending and clothing modifications. The volunteer is encouraged to invite residents to participate and/or be a part of the activity in whichever way they chose, to foster a sense of dignity and personal satisfaction.

Come and stretch out the week with music and movement! Chair exercise group volunteers bring the energy of a fitness workout but guide people with gentle movements, as participants are sitting comfortably in a chair. Perhaps you have a background in fitness, dance, yoga, physio, Pilates or just love to dance and you'd like to lead a small group. You'll be helping older residents in care to maintain their mobility as well as their healthy wellbeing - and have fun!
