West Care Community Centre General assist

At Baptist Care SA, we find ways to make people's lives better. We are looking for dedicated Volunteers to provide assistance in the successful Community settings and supporting the presentation and maintenance of the space we provide for the community.

Community Centre general assist support tasks include:

• Assisting clients to do their washing
• Tidy up of the Community Centre donation room
• Assist with re stocking the coffee tea station
• Assist with breakfast set up before Centre opens meal service soup
• Assist with general tidy of cups< plates and general mess during the open hours of the Centre
• Assist with washing of the towels used by clients having a shower at the Centre
• Assist with laneway sweep and Centre sweep and tidy before opening at 9am and at close at 1pm General support to Centre staff in all tasks required.

We look for Volunteers with the following attributes:

• Punctual and reliable
• Respectful and courteous to all visitors, volunteers, students and employees
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Ability to show empathy with people who experience hardship, loss, disadvantage and disconnection from the community
• Ability to work a regular shift weekly between Monday and Friday 8.30am - 1.30pm

Specific requirements

• A valid DHS Working with Children Check
• A valid National Police Check
• A valid Child Safe Environments Training certificate
