High level understanding of relevant legal and regulatory principles and the frameworks of good NFP governance. Managed several adversities and challenges in the community with a willingness to share that knowledge with others. Experience in managing finances and budgets, and/or organizational quality, risk and compliance. A depth of experience and understanding, preferably at executive or board level, in community learning and service. Experience in guiding organisations to identify and realise opportunities through strategic and organisational planning. Effective communication skills. Knowledge of any philosophy and its application with a willingness to learn is highly regarded. As an experienced Board Director, you will oversee all aspects of governance and understand the importance of collaboration and have a charitable, entrepreneurial, and strategic mindset. An understanding and previous experience working on charity Boards and with strong public reach, government interactions is preferable.
