Bunbury Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service (VFRS) volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local communities are safe. As a brigade firefighter your duties may include:
- Respond to Structural fires.
- Respond Vehicle accidents.
- Respond to hazardous material incidents.
- Assist with asset protection during a bush fire.
- Respond to Bush fires.
- Work with the community to identify and manage local fire risk.
- Undertake local fire prevention activities with the community.
- Educate community in fire safety.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Attend emergency incidents when available.
- Attend regular training to enhance and maintain knowledge and skills.
- Work within a team.
- Maintain firefighting vehicles and equipment on a regular basis.
- Attend and assist at fundraising and other brigade functions.
