Screech Arts is an innovative and inclusive performing arts school for creative spirits of all ages and abilities. This is a program run by CPL - Choice, Passion, Life who work with people with a disability to live the life they choose.

Have you got the tech skills and time to help us be a great success? Use your talent and skills as a volunteer Sound and/or Lighting - Technical Designer to gain a wonderful experience.

We are seeking 2 volunteers to be Sound and/or Lighting Technicians to support our upcoming production - ‘Suspended in the Split Second', performed by the Screech Arts Actors Ensemble, supported by the Dance Troupe.

As a volunteer Sound and/or Lighting - Technical Designer you will be:

• Setting up /connecting equipment before rehearsals / performance
• Guiding with the lighting design and/or sound for performance development
• Running sound and/or lighting throughout rehearsals and performance (Experience with Chamsys QuickQ10 lighting console, or very similar, will be highly regarded)
• Providing guidance and advice to staff based on your skills and experience
• Packing up at the end of rehearsals/ performance

You will not be responsible for:

• Any personal support; e.g. manual handling, personal care, administration of medication or meal assistance. These activities will be carried out by qualified support workers.

Dates and Times: Our fabulous show - ‘Suspended in the Split Second’ will be performed on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th August. We will also need you to be available for rehearsals and dress rehearsals - times and dates below.

Rehearsals: 354 Bilsen Road, Geebung

• Saturdays 12:30pm - 2:30pm during school term. (1st, 8th and 15th of June. And 13th, 20th, 27th of July)

Dress/Tech Rehearsals: Studio1 - 190 Station Rd, Yeerongpilly QLD 4105

• Thursday 11th July, 11am - 3pm
• Friday 12th July, 11am - 3pm

Performances: Studio1 - 190 Station Rd, Yeerongpilly QLD 4105

• Friday 2nd August, 4.00pm - 8pm
• Saturday 3rd August, 4.00pm - 8pm
• Sunday 4th August, 1.30pm - 5.30pm
