Fresh Frankston FReeZA

The FReeZA program is a youth development program that provides opportunities for young people in Victoria to enjoy live gigs, festivals, markets, art exhibitions and other cultural, recreational, and artistic events that are affordable, inclusive, accessible, drug, alcohol and smoke-free in supervised and safe venues.

FReeZA is funded by the Victorian Government and Frankston City Council and FReeZA grants. Young people aged 14-24 can become part of a FReeZA committee. The Frankston-based FReeZA program is called ‘Fresh’.

Being part of the FReeZA committee aims to builds self-confidence and competence in event management, project development, design, production, and promotion. Fresh aims to create and develop professional networks, social connections and provide opportunities to explore various education, mentoring and employment pathways in the entertainment industry.

  • Live and studio audio production

  • Graphic design
  • Photography and videography
  • Artist management
  • Branding, promotion, and marketing And more!

Commitment level:

  • Meetings: Committee meetings are held once a week for two hours. The date and time of the meeting is determined by the committee and will stay the same each week. Meetings are always on a weeknight. During meetings you may be assigned additional tasks to complete in your own time.
  • Events: The committee runs several events throughout the year. Events are often on weekends and may require late nights.
  • Training: You will have the opportunity to participate in additional training sessions tailored to the committee’s goals. These are sometimes scheduled during meeting time but can fall on school holidays, weekends or other weeknights.

Requirements to join:

  • Aged between 15-24
  • Live work or study within the City of Frankston (Frankston, Frankston North, Frankston South, Langwarrin, Seaford, Skye, Carrum Downs, Karingal & Sandhurst).
  • Able to participate in weekly meetings + support the delivery of events + participate in additional training sessions.
  • Passionate about arts, music, and culture.
  • Able to work cooperatively in a team.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and willing to learn.
