Who are we? Melbourne Eastern Ranges (MER) is a regional club of Special Olympics Australia, (SOA). Special Olympics Australia is part of a global sporting community for people with an intellectual disability and autism. Our year-round multi-sport program supports athletes with a range of capabilities. We provide an inclusive and supportive environment that supports athlete skill development, confidence and physical fitness.

General Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage team activities, including practices, games, and events. Communicate with players, coaches, and parents/carers to ensure everyone is informed and prepared. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, travel arrangements, and equipment management as required Maintain accurate records of player information, attendance, and performance. Assist in organizing team meetings and events. Support the coaching staff in various tasks as needed.

Requirements:

Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with players, coaches, and parents/carers. Experience in sports management or a related field (preferred but not required). Commitment to the mission and values of Special Olympics Australia.
