Musical Volunteer - Can you play piano or an instrument?

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of older people? When you become an Anglicare Volunteer, you join a dedicated team who brighten people’s lives every day.

Do you have musical talent and a passion for bringing joy to others? We are looking for volunteers who would love to share their music with clients in our day centre program. Whether you’re a pianist, singer, guitarist, or part of a small ensemble, we’d be delighted to welcome you. All instruments and musical styles are welcome. Our clients especially enjoy old-time musical favourites, hymns, and classical pieces — music that sparks memories and creates a warm, uplifting atmosphere.

What you’ll be doing. • Playing/performing for our day centre aged care clients • Helping create a warm, social, and engaging atmosphere • Building meaningful connections through music and shared experiences

We’re looking for someone who: • Enjoys spending time with older people • Is patient, kind, and reliable • Can commit to a regular weekly/fortnightly volunteering connection

You will receive excellent support from our dedicated staff and should find your time volunteering personally rewarding as well. Our residents are incredible individuals with rich stories and life experiences that they often enjoy sharing during activity times. They are always eager to connect, as time spent with visitors brings joy and enriches their lives.
