Volunteer Walk Organisers wanted across the Lockyer Valley region

Want to make a real difference in your community – and have fun doing it?
Love meeting new people? Enjoy being outdoors?
Starting a walking group is the perfect way to stay active, connect with others, and spread some positive vibes – and we’ll be with you every step of the way!
The Heart Foundation, in partnership with Lockyer Valley Regional Council, is looking for friendly volunteers to kick off and lead walking groups in all neighbourhoods across the Lockyer Valley region.
No experience? No problem! We’ll give you all the training and support you need.
Heart Foundation Walking is Australia’s largest FREE walking network – and it’s all about making movement social, easy, and fun.
With so many Aussies doing little or no exercise, your group could be the spark that gets people moving, laughing, and feeling great!
Walking isn’t just good for the body – it’s a boost for the mind too.
Over 30 years, more than 100,000 Australians have joined a Heart Foundation Walking group, and 90% keep up the habit after six months. That’s impact!
As a Walk Organiser, you’ll enjoy the flexibility to choose when, where, and how often your group walks. You’ll get the benefits of a healthier mind and body while creating a welcoming space for your community to connect.
