Learning Support

Mount Pleasant Primary School is seeking local community members to support students during classroom literacy sessions.

With guidance from the classroom teacher, you will help students as they take part in reading, writing and language activities. This may include listening to students read, helping with spelling, or assisting during small group work.

You do not need a teaching background or English as a first language. Just a calm presence, a kind approach, and a willingness to be part of the classroom in a supportive way.

The role is one hour a week during school hours. EdConnect provides all training and matches you with the class.

If a friend or family member is interested too, you are welcome to support the same school in a different classroom.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys being around children, values education, and wants to give back in a steady, meaningful way.
