We’re seeking a compassionate and reliable volunteer to build a meaningful, ongoing friendship with an adult with a developmental disability. Through bi‑monthly visits, you’ll provide companionship, monitor wellbeing, and help maintain the person’s quality of life and community connections.

Key duties: Visit and befriend an allocated person on a regular basis Monitor wellbeing, lifestyle, health, accommodation and social connections Submit a brief visit report/checklist after each visit Report any concerns to the PSS Program Manager Participate in occasional local outings and special occasions

Skills and experience: Genuine interest in supporting people with disability Empathy, patience and strong communication skills Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality Commitment, reliability and basic report‑writing skills

About the organisation: Future Living Trust’s Personal Safeguarding Service provides lifelong visiting and advocacy support to ensure people with disability remain safe, connected and supported when family members are no longer able to regularly visit.
