As part of our commitment to strong governance and proactive succession planning, we are seeking interest from individuals who bring leadership capability, governance experience, and a genuine commitment to supporting the not for profit sector.

About the Role The Chair plays a central role in guiding the Board’s work, supporting strategic direction, and ensuring effective governance. The Chair also acts as a key link between the Board and the Manager, fostering a collaborative, transparent, and high performing organisational culture.

This is a volunteer position and would suit someone with a passion for community impact, strong governance literacy, and the capacity to contribute meaningfully to the stewardship of CWLH.

Key Selection Criteria Applicants are encouraged to address the following:

  • Governance Knowledge: Experience in board roles, corporate governance, or committee leadership.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to guide a Board, build consensus, and support the CWLH Manager.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading organisational strategy.
  • Values Alignment: A strong commitment to the mission and purpose of the not for profit sector.
  • Time Availability: Capacity to meet the expected workload, including meetings, preparation, and occasional events.

Timeline Expressions of Interest will be reviewed as part of our broader succession planning process, with the Chair transition anticipated at the conclusion of the current term in December 2026.
