The role consists of using your French flair to encourage and guide residents who are eager to learn the language and explore the culture of France, whether this be with conversation, music or stories.

    Our Companionship program aims to develop connections between volunteers and residents by carefully matching up pairs based on interests, language and cultural backgrounds. The program aims to supports volunteers to spend one on one time with residents who tend to find themselves isolated, lonely, and lacking external visitors. Often this form of isolation is a result of adjusting to living in residential care and can lead to feelings of loneliness and further isolation.
