We're a non-profit, volunteer-run organisation based at the South Hobart Community Centre.
Members pay a small annual fee to borrow from our range of 650+ toys, games, puzzles and costumes for up to three weeks at a time. We're committed to offering an affordable and sustainable way to bring families together through play.
We are looking for regular, reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to help us run our borrowing sessions.
All training will be provided, and there will always be more than one volunteer on a shift (generally 3-4).
The main tasks will be:
- Setting up our library before the start of the session, and packing things down at the end.
- Being the friendly person at the desk. Use our simple online system to check toys in/out, and help families find their next favourite plaything.
- Checking returned toys to make sure they're clean, complete and ready for the next excited family
- Organising toys on shelving and light housekeeping duties
No special skills or experience are required - just a willingness to learn! Every helping hand is welcome and appreciated.
We are also seeking Friday volunteers too - you are welcome to assist whenever best suits you.
