Community Programs and Events Volunteer

The Type 1 Diabetes Family Centre (T1DFC) is a unique community hub dedicated to supporting children, young people and families living with type 1 diabetes. Through education, peer support and connection, we help ensure no family faces type 1 diabetes alone.
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to support a range of programs, events and activities throughout the year. Volunteers are an important part of our community and help create welcoming and positive experiences for families attending the Centre.
Volunteer opportunities may include assisting with family events, Kids in the Kitchen sessions, holiday programs, camps, fundraising activities, administration and general event support. Tasks may involve welcoming participants, assisting with registrations, preparing materials, setting up and packing down events, and helping ensure activities run smoothly.
No previous experience with type 1 diabetes is required. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided, including an introduction to the Centre, child safety requirements, health and safety procedures and a basic understanding of type 1 diabetes.
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and are looking for individuals who are friendly, reliable and passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and families. Whether you can contribute regularly or occasionally, your time and support will help build a stronger and more connected type 1 diabetes community.
By volunteering with T1DFC, you will have the opportunity to meet like-minded people, develop new skills and contribute to programs that create lasting impact for families across Western Australia.
