Association Treasurer
Role description:
-Association Leadership and Governance
-Encourage and develop a culture that supports the core purpose and values of Mood Active
-As a member of the Committee contribute to the oversight of the organisation and its strategy development
-Take responsibility for specific strategic initiatives, as agreed with the Committee
-Ensure Management and the Committee understand the current and future financial position of Mood Active
-Develop financial forecasts and budgets
-Oversee compliance with reporting and tax obligations
-Oversee efficient and effective financial procedures across the organisation
-Be one of several signatories on the bank accounts.
-Attend monthly or bi-monthly virtual committee meetings
Essential requirements:
- An accounting degree
- Experience in a similar role for 2 years minimum (NFP, Treasurer or Finance Manager role)
- Lived experience with a Mental Health condition (either personally or as a close relative or carer)
- Personal use of exercise to manage health/mental health
- The ability to attend and assist with infrequent fundraising activities
