Help shape the future of one of the South Coast's leading community arts organisations.
River of Art is seeking an organised and community-minded volunteer to join our Committee as Secretary. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the governance of an award-winning, volunteer-led charity that connects artists, audiences and communities across the Eurobodalla.
As Secretary, you'll help ensure the organisation runs smoothly behind the scenes, supporting good governance while working alongside a passionate and experienced committee dedicated to the future of the arts in our region.
About the Role
The Secretary is responsible for ensuring the effective administration, communication and record-keeping of River of Art.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing meeting agendas, notices and taking minutes.
- Managing committee correspondence.
- Maintaining official records.
- Supporting compliance with meeting and reporting requirements.
What We're Looking For
You don't need previous committee experience—just strong organisational skills and a willingness to contribute.
Ideally you'll have:
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Confidence with document management and record-keeping.
- An understanding of governance processes or a willingness to learn, we're happy to match skills and areas of interest.
- Professional discretion and confidentiality.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 6 hours per month.
- Monthly Committee meetings unsually online (<90 minutes).
- Occasional in-person gatherings as required.
- Support during the River of Art Festival (25 September – 5 October 2026).

You'll work closely with a supportive and collaborative Committee, including:
- Chair
- Vice Chair
- Treasurer
