River of Art is seeking a Bookkeeper/Assistant Treasurer to work alongside our Treasurer in supporting the financial management of our volunteer-led arts organisation.
Key responsibilities
Provide support to the Treasurer on financial matters. Assist with record-keeping for financial reporting and help monitor financial process obligations.
We're looking for someone with
Bookkeeping or accounting experience (or a willingness to learn). Strong attention to detail and organisational skills. Integrity, discretion and an interest in supporting the not-for-profit sector.
Time commitment
Approximately 4–6 hours per month, including a monthly (approx 90-minute) online Committee meeting, occasional in-person meetings, and some additional support during reporting periods and the River of Art Festival (25 September – 5 October 2026).
The Assistant Treasurer reports to and works closely with the Treasurer and Chair to help ensure River of Art remains financially strong and sustainable.
