
Volunteer Opportunity – Co-Chair

Help shape the future of one of the South Coast's leading community arts organisations.
River of Art is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking leader to join the Committee as Co-Chair.
Working alongside the Chair and an experienced Committee from November 2026–2027, you'll help shape the organisation's future by building partnerships, strengthening community relationships and contributing to the strategic direction of River of Art.
This is an opportunity to share leadership, bring fresh ideas and work with a passionate team committed to supporting artists and strengthening the cultural life of the Eurobodalla. An earlier start is welcomed to become familiar with the organisation and begin building relationships.
About the Role
Working in partnership with the Chair (Co Chair), you will:
Share leadership of the Committee and contribute to effective governance. Help deliver River of Art's strategic vision and future direction. Build relationships with artists, businesses, tourism, government and community partners. Identify opportunities for collaboration that strengthen the organisation's impact and long-term sustainability. Represent River of Art within the community and advocate for the value of arts and culture. Support a positive, collaborative volunteer culture and contribute to the growth of the organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to grow into broader leadership responsibilities over time, while working alongside an experienced and supportive Committee.
We're Looking For Someone Who
• Enjoys bringing people together and building positive relationships. • Has leadership experience and a collaborative approach. • Thinks strategically and enjoys developing new opportunities. • Is passionate about community, creativity and regional development. • Has previous committee, board, business or community leadership experience (desirable but not essential).
Time Commitment
Approximately 10–15 hours per month. Monthly online Committee meetings (approximately 90 minutes). In-person meetings, networking opportunities and community events as required. Support during the River of Art Festival 25 September - 5 October 2026 and key organisational activities throughout the year.
