Welcome visitors and help bring the River of Art Prize to life.
River of Art is seeking friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to join our team as Exhibition Hosts during the River of Art Prize and Festival (25 September – 5 October 2026).
As an Exhibition Host, you'll be one of the first people visitors meet, helping create a welcoming and engaging experience while supporting artists and ensuring the exhibition runs smoothly.
About the Role
As an Exhibition Host, you will:
Welcome visitors to the exhibition and provide information about River of Art and the Art Prize. Assist visitors with exhibition guides, voting (where applicable) and general enquiries. Monitor the exhibition space and help protect exhibited artworks. Support exhibiting artists and Committee members as required. Help maintain a welcoming, tidy and safe exhibition environment. Report any issues or visitor enquiries to the Exhibition Coordinator.
We're Looking For Someone Who Enjoys meeting people and providing excellent customer service. Is friendly, reliable and approachable. Has an interest in arts, culture and the local community. Can work independently while being part of a supportive volunteer team. Is comfortable standing and moving around the exhibition for the duration of a shift.
Time Commitment Flexible shifts (typically 3–4 hours) between 25 September and 5 October 2026. Volunteers are welcome to nominate preferred days and times. There will be 2 locations. Moruya & Narooma.
