Coffee Club Volunteers Needed!

We are seeking volunteers who would enjoy assisting us to create a new 'coffee hub' space located inside a residential aged care home at Castle Hill. The role would be suitable for volunteers who have a warm and friendly nature and who enjoy engaging with older people, their friends and family.

Volunteering in this role helps bring the Coffee Hub to life by creating a warm, welcoming café-style environment for residents. Volunteers will greet and engage with residents, prepare and serve tea and coffee, and create the inviting aromas associated with a coffee shop experience. Responsibilities also include clearing and resetting tables, playing light background music, and fostering a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where residents can socialise and enjoy meaningful interactions.

We seek volunteers who are:

• Warm and friendly with the ability to engage in meaningful conversation with older people.
• have skills in making coffee and tea using a machine.
• have weekday availability Monday to Friday with a regular ongoing availability for at least 6 months

You will receive excellent support from our dedicated staff and should find your time volunteering personally rewarding as well. Our residents are incredible individuals with rich stories and life experiences that they often enjoy sharing during activity times. They are always eager to connect, as time spent with visitors brings joy and enriches their lives.
