Program facilitator - senior's lunch
Christ Church Mission Community Centre (St Kilda Little Mission)
As the facilitator you will oversee our over 55s Seniors Lunch. You will work with a small team of volunteers (aprox 4) including an exercise instructor and volunteers who are participating to increase their social inclusion and build skills. You will report to our volunteer coordinator and manager for guidance and assistance as needed.
The group is currently made up of around 5 seniors, however we aim to grow this number.
Tasks include:
- Delegation of tasks: set up, cooking, pack down, and working alongside volunteers in all areas
- Keeping records of attendance
- Overseeing program for the duration of the program's setup to clean up as well as program itself (5 hours)
- Report OH&S issues to management
- Bring your own creative ideas to the group to help make it special
- Ideal volunteer position for a student or someone looking for work experience leading a group
