Community Hub Volunteer

Overview:
The New School of Arts Neighbourhood House Inc. is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Community Hub Volunteers. This unique volunteer opportunity allows you to actively engage with community members, support various programs, and contribute to the vibrant and inclusive atmosphere of our Community Hub.
Responsibilities:
Information & Referral:
- Welcome visitors and community members to the Community Hub with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Provide information about programs, events, and services offered at The New School of Arts Neighbourhood House Inc. and in the wider Clarence Valley community
- Support community members to access appropriate resources, activities, services and programs.
Activities & Events:
- Support the coordination and facilitation of community programs and events.
- Assist Community Hub staff in setting up and organizing materials for workshops, classes, and gatherings.
- Engage with participants to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Communication & Outreach:
- Help distribute flyers, newsletters, and promotional materials to raise awareness of Community Hub activities.
- Encourage community members to participate in upcoming events and programs.
Administrative Tasks:
- Assist with basic administrative tasks, such as data collection, data entry, filing, and organizing paperwork.
- Help maintain a tidy and organized Community Hub space.
Collaboration with NSOA Staff & Volunteers:
- Work collaboratively with other NSOA volunteers and staff to ensure smooth operation of the Community Hub.
- Attend regular volunteer meetings to stay informed about upcoming activities and provide input.
