The New School of Arts Neighbourhood House Inc (NSOA) is an incorporated not-for-profit operating in the Clarence Valley in the Far North Coast of NSW. Founded in 1981, the NSOA delivers a range of community programs including the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) which has been funded by the Department of Health for the last 30 years. The Community Visitors Scheme seeks to reduce social isolation and loneliness for elderly people living in residential aged care, or in their own homes, with the support of a Home Care Package. It does this through the introduction of a volunteer visitor who shares their interests and/or background for the purpose of friendship.
