NSOA Men’s Group Volunteer Facilitator

The New School of Arts Neighbourhood House Inc. is seeking a compassionate and committed individual to serve as a Volunteer Facilitator for our Men's Group. This role involves creating a supportive and empowering space for men within the community to connect, share experiences, and engage in activities that promote wellbeing. Join us in fostering a positive environment that enhances the lives of men in our community.
Responsibilities:
Facilitation of Group Sessions:
- Plan and lead group sessions that address the unique needs and interests of the men in the community.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages open communication and mutual support.
Program Development:
- Collaborate with Men's Group members to identify topics of interest and plan relevant activities.
- Organize workshops, discussions, and events that align with the goals of the Men's Group.
Wellbeing Support:
- Provide a supportive space for men to share experiences, challenges, and successes.
- Foster an atmosphere of trust and confidentiality within the group.
Information & Supported Referral:
- Connect group members with relevant community resources and services.
- Maintain knowledge of local support networks and organizations.
Collaboration with Community Partners:
- Work closely with NSOA staff to establish connections with local organizations and community partners.
- Coordinate guest speakers and experts to enhance the Men's Group experience.
