Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme – Garden Walks & Golf Chats
Wesley Mission Queensland - Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme Volunteers

Make a Meaningful Difference
Are you a warm, friendly person who enjoys connecting with others? We are looking for volunteers to bring friendship and joy to older adults living in in residential aged care.
We currently have a lovely gentleman living in Bray Park who would enjoy spending time with a friendly volunteer visitor for companionship, conversation, and gentle walks.
He has a lifelong passion for golf and has worked as a farmer and vineyard manager. He would enjoy walking in the garden with someone who shares an interest in golf, farming, or the outdoors. A volunteer who speaks clear, well-spoken English would be the best match.
Many older persons have wonderful life stories and unique experiences to share. They would truly value the company of a caring volunteer who is ready to listen. Whether it’s sharing a conversation, enjoying a board game, reading together, taking a walk around the garden, or simply sharing a cup of tea, your presence can make a profound impact on someone’s day.
Why Join Us? This role is part of Wesley Mission Queensland’s Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS), a program dedicated to reducing social isolation among older Australians. By becoming a volunteer, you help build genuine friendships that enrich the lives of both the resident and yourself.
If you enjoy meeting new people and want to make a lasting difference in your community, we would love to hear from you.
