
Transcord is a trusted NFP and registered charitable organisation who supports community wellbeing by providing transport to people living with a disability or who find it unsafe to drive due to health issues. Our services offer people with low mobility more personal autonomy and help to improve their quality of life through social inclusion and access to recreational activities. Transcord is recognised as a leader in the delivery of safe, reliable, and affordable transport across the Gold Coast.
We are looking for a volunteer (2 days per week) who is undertaking studies in marketing, communications, or public relations, and has a genuine interest in giving back to the community, whilst gaining work experience that directly relates to their area of study.
The ideal applicant will be available for a three-month period to commence in August, 2026. As the volunteer marketing assistant, you will be the point of contact for the internal Marketing Committee , engaged to provide Marketing material to support the promotion of Transcord’s services, contributing to the generation of new business and community partnerships, and retention of valued clients and community partners.
The key responsibilities of this role are to:
- Support the Marketing Committee with the delivery of promotions activities through advertising, campaigning, content creation, and public relations
- Support the generation of new business and retention of clients through marketing and community engagement via social media channels
- Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and engage with followers to build community.
- Help track social media analytics and provide insights to improve engagement.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Committee to align social media content with organisational goals.
- Research relevant topics and trends to ensure content is fresh and impactful.
- Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Contribute to the planning and communication of promotional activities via social media platforms
