Do you have experience in Lip Reading? Do you have the ability to teach people with hearing loss, the basics of Lip Reading? This organisation is running a program to support adults with hearing loss, to develop other ways to communicate and to be able to engage in conversations. We are looking for a person with teaching or tutoring abilities, patience, understanding of hearing loss and some lip reading experience to engage the group. Required on Thursdays - 9.30am to 12pm.

The barista will be required for a minimum of 2 days per week, from 10am to 3pm, and will be working from a coffee cart located at AAIC offices in Southport. We are looking for friendly people who are looking to make a difference in the lives of our community's seniors just by spending an hour per week or fortnight visiting and being a social friend to individuals living in their own homes.
Providing way finding services to patients, visitors and staff. Helping people find the various wards, kiosks and departments in this huge new hospital. You may be required to escort people who are lost and confused with directions. This role could involve a lot of walking and standing. Reassure people if they appear distressed or confused.
Your role would be to provide information and directions to patients and visitors to the Hospital. You will be required to learn where all the resources needed for the role are. Assist with Wheelchair location, refer people to the portage area for assistance and parking locations or public transport. Deliver flowers to wards as required, also provide information about taxis,amenities and the hospital cafeteria area. You may also be required to escort people to their destinations.
Providing support, care and comfort for patients and staff of Cancer Services Day Unit. Welcoming patients to the service and directing them to waiting areas. Shifts require a minimum of 4 hours, walking, standing and sitting. Monday - Friday 8am - 12 noon OR 12 noon - 4.00pm. Ability to display empathy, confidentiality and good communication skills are essential in this role.
