Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme – Supportive Companion for to Share Faith
Wesley Mission Queensland - Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme Volunteers

Make a Meaningful Difference
Are you a warm, friendly person who enjoys connecting with others? We are looking for volunteers to bring friendship and joy to older adults living in in their own homes.
We currently have a lovely lady living in St Lucia who would enjoy spending time with a friendly female volunteer who shares similar interests and faith. She loves reading and writing and previously wrote children's books. She has a keen interest in science, enjoys arts and crafts, has a passion for helping others, has worked with children, and values volunteering. She also attends church regularly.
She would love the opportunity to make new friends and spend time with someone who enjoys meaningful conversation, shares her Christian faith, and has similar interests and hobbies.
Many older persons have wonderful life stories and unique experiences to share. They would truly value the company of a caring volunteer who is ready to listen. Whether it’s sharing a conversation, enjoying a board game, reading together, taking a walk around the garden, or simply sharing a cup of tea, your presence can make a profound impact on someone’s day.
Why Join Us? This role is part of Wesley Mission Queensland’s Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS), a program dedicated to reducing social isolation among older Australians. By becoming a volunteer, you help build genuine friendships that enrich the lives of both the resident and yourself.
If you enjoy meeting new people and want to make a lasting difference in your community, we would love to hear from you.
