Volunteering Social Support Edinglassie Lodge Penrith

Uniting Edinglassie Lodge age care home is seeking volunteers to provide social support for our lovely residence.

Our social support volunteers play important roles in people’s lives: keeping people connected, active, and able to participate in the activities they love, such as card games, chess, reading, art. Our volunteers also help residents to use smart devices to connect with family, and provide wonderful companionship by just engaging in conversation and offering friendship.

We are seeking volunteers who can:

• Provide companionship support to residence
• An interest in people and genuine interactions
• Active listening skills
• Help motivate and engage residence in different activities

We’re open to other roles so if you have a particular skill or hobby, so we’d love to hear from you!
