Committee of Governance - Milpara Community House Korum

Milpara Community House is looking for community-minded people to join our volunteer Committee of Governance.
If you want to ensure our community stays connected, vibrant, and well-supported, we need your help!

This voluntary role offers strategic leadership to ensure our House meets its funding agreements, remains legally compliant, and delivers high-impact community programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide oversight, input, and accountability on governance, strategies, and organisational performance.
• Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory obligations.
• Champion the House's mission, values, and goals.
• Contribute to strategic planning, risk management, and policy development.
• Support community engagement and advocacy activities.
• Actively participate in monthly meetings and committee discussions.

Skills in the following area/s are particularly valuable, but not essential:

• Finance, law or risk management.
• Human resources marketing, or fundraising.
• Knowledge of the Neighborhood House or community sector.
