Make a Meaningful Difference Are you a warm, friendly person who enjoys connecting with others? We are looking for volunteers to bring friendship and joy to older adults living in in their own homes.

We currently have a lovely lady originally from the Philippines, living in Sunnybank who would like to spend time with someone who has shares a love of cooking and gardening.

She would prefer an Tagalog-speaking female volunteer aged 50 years or over who enjoys connecting with others and sharing life experiences.

Many older persons have wonderful life stories and unique experiences to share. They would truly value the company of a caring volunteer who is ready to listen. Whether it’s sharing a conversation, enjoying a board game, reading together, taking a walk around the garden, or simply sharing a cup of tea, your presence can make a profound impact on someone’s day.

Why Join Us? This role is part of Wesley Mission Queensland’s Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS), a program dedicated to reducing social isolation among older Australians. By becoming a volunteer, you help build genuine friendships that enrich the lives of both the resident and yourself.

If you enjoy meeting new people and want to make a lasting difference in your community, we would love to hear from you.
